This one worth 1000 words easy

And quite a few of them are cuss words.

    Poor Bird.

"Boldly going where no Bird has gone before."

    (Or should)

Factory farmed birds may be one of the shittiest things we can eat.  And we might create the next pandemic this way.

Many foreseeable and unforeseeable ways to do that.

I think the below pic shows the most likely way.

    Bastards!

The zip ties seem most successful on smaller tires.  Or maybe that's just coincidence that I've seen that most often.

I've thought about trying the zip-tie method, but knowing what good zip-ties cost these days, I figure it's just easier to take it to a shop or go use my friends No-Mar.  Him and the bike shops are 20+ miles away, so gotta add that too.🙄

No, not at all.  Are you making decisions based on such basic misunderstandings of chemistry?  I don't get your point.

Aromatic hydrocarbons are cyclic, planar compounds that resemble benzene in electronic configuration and chemical behavior. Benzene has the molecular formula C6H6 and is the simplest aromatic hydrocarbon. The carbon atoms in benzene are linked by six equivalent σ bonds and six π bonds.

LOL.  That was actually a joke, but I did look up the definition(s) of "aromatic" before I posted, just in case.

No question about it. I rode bike to work this morning, usual asshatery, like tripling speed limits, etc.

     It felt great.😁

I rode my Grom today.  No tripling, or even doubling of speed limits (no school zones on my route).  However, I very briefly did 10 over in a 60 zone when I caught a draft behind a pickup truck that was merging in. Thing rails in the corners though.

LOL, yeah.  It's well proven that grill char = inflammation, oxidation, and cancer.

    Grilling can create cancer-causing chemicals

When cooking over high heat, especially an open flame, you are exposed to two main carcinogens: heterocyclic aromatic amines (HCAs) and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). Studies show HCAs and PAHs cause changes in DNA that may increase the risk of cancer.

If they are "aromatic", doesn't that mean they have been "cooked off", as in can't hurt me?

Never mind.  I would still be breathing air which is also known to cause cancer.🙄

I rode my XX yesterday. I was surprised how easy it started. Normally it will sputter for a while when first started and the choke on. It smoothed out almost immediately to a nice even idle. It ran very smooth and very strong.

Again, I'm not sure why but is definitely running smoother and more powerful.

Perhaps the fuel valve fix also fixed a vacuum leak?

I've only had a FI Bird, so don't know all the plumbing on a Carb Bird.

I know beauty is in the eye and all that stuff but I'm not seeing that at all.  I think Birds are way too good looking to screw up like that but each to his own.

I don't disagree, but most of the ones I've seen are just "removed parts", jacked up tails, or total hack jobs.  This one I would ride.

This builder knows what they are doing.  That is the cleanest looking naked BB I have ever seen.  Guessing that is a Busa front end.

Eat the plants instead of wasting most of their energy on making meat???  Did I have to type that out?

When I said "demand", I meant what most people want, not just what will keep them alive.  However, I feel that the latter type of demand is closer than we think, but for completely different reasons.

  11. I don't see how beef production is an "ecological disaster".  Please don't show me a link to some "professional" chicken little.  There's always someone who claims doom and gloom, and they almost always leave out the parts that counter-act the doom & gloom part.

From an unbiased standpoint, humans are the ecological disaster.  This planet can only sustain a certain population, and all the "support" we require.  Interesting how "wild-life management" is readily embraced, but managing human life is unthinkable.  I'm not suggesting that we start randomly exterminating humans.  Just remove all the safety labels, and let nature decide.

Coincidentally, another doctor I follow posted this a couple hours ago, but it's just a reference to something he wrote up years ago.

LOL.  That's like saying, "If you don't go outside on a rainy day, you may not get wet."

I'm not debating anything that the doctors say, but it just seems too obvious that if you eat a mostly plant-based diet, you're going to take in less fat, less simple carbs, and less calories.  That should mean less fat on your body, which I believe is the key to preventing/reversing/controlling T2 diabetes.  Get your weight under control, by what ever means works for you.  One size does not fit all.  Genetics play a big role, as well.  My dad was fairly heavy, ate all kinds of crap, and even in his 80's had steady blood sugar levels.  My mother didn't get T2 until she was over retirement age, and easily controlled it with oral medication and diet alone, same as my wife.

I pulled the tank off the bike with the petcock valve in the closed position. The minute I opened the valve gas flowed out, which it is not supposed open unless pulled by vacuum.

Gas also flowed out this bottom nozzle, which doesn't connect to anything and is never supposed to do.

Yep.  Time for a new valve or a re-build.  Wonder if Honda still makes a repair kit?
