  1. Bike has sold (with bags) to a good friend. Letting him know about this madhouse, as his sense of humor is par for the course. Hopefully he registers. Nice to see it stay in the family! May get to take a spin on her from time to time as well...
  2. RacerXX looks like a riot, and I always wanted to get down there for it. Snowmobile season is soooo short. It seems we are always headed north that time of year...
  3. I did. I have a pretty clean 1st gen R6, nicely done up with lots of goodies. Have if FS on Craigslist for $2,500 but would sell it for less here.
  4. I've been pondering this for a while and hope I don't regret it, but I've decided to mix things up a bit. Aside from the VTX my Father gave me, I've had each of the other bikes in my garage for 10+ years. Found what I think is a decent deal on a new VFR12. I also plan to pick up a Tiger 800 xc. Track bike is being sold as well.
  5. Clean 'Bird for sale with some nice farkles/upgrades. I have owned this bike since new. Currently has 62,770 miles. Depending upon how quickly it sells, there may be a bit more. Bike has been well maintained, always stored indoors, has clean title, and has never been crashed. Farkles/Upgrades · Corbin Beetle Bags · Arrow Full Ti 4 into 1 system w/ Carbon Fiber Can. · Heli Bars · Clear Alternatives clear front signal covers w/ amber bulbs · Clear Alternatives LED tail light with integrated signals. · Zero Gravity Smoke Screen (also have OEM + ZG Smoke Touring Screens) · Wired for Garmin Zumo 550 or 450 with ram ball mounted through steering stem (cradle not included) · K & N Filter · New in box Power Commander II (bought last fall & not yet installed) · Haynes service manual (also comes w/ OEM owner's manual & tool kit) · Bike made 144.7 HP last time it was on the dyno (can supply charts) This bike is in very good condition. I would rate it as an 8 1/2 on a 10 scale cosmetically. It was down once in the driveway at 0mph resulting in a replaced stator cover, bar end, mirror cover & clutch lever. Recent list of maintenance The bike has been highly reliable and has only stranded me once (stator) · Valves checked at 12k, 30k, & 60k. At 60k none needed adjustment · Also at 60k, new plugs, coolant flush, new battery, new brake pads, new chain, and new sprockets · At 45k rear shock rebuilt at Suspension By Sasquatch. Has 6mm rear shim (thanks Redbird) · At 45k, fresh 7.5 wt fork oil with Race Tech 1.1 rate springs (thanks Hobi) · Stator Replaced at 46k · Wheels replaced at 50k with a very lightly used set. Still have originals with slightly bent front. · Oil changed every 6k or so w/ 2k on last change It really only needs 2 things. Tires have 6k on them and should be replaced within 2,000 miles or so. There is a small exhaust leak at the head pipe gasket on one cylinder. This goes away once the engine comes up to operating temps, but it could use new exhaust gaskets. I would like to see $4,300 with the bags or $3,700 without. If I am off on price, please do let me know. I haven't seen many around this clean and am hoping it goes to a good home. Located in Lombard, IL. Edited to add ph #. 630 six six zero 8779.

    PC II help

Resurrecting an old thread here, but does anyone have a map for an Arrow 4 into 1 system. Bike is an '00. Thanks in advance!
  7. Tim, you might want to post this on CLSB. That board has a bunch of track day junkies, who tend to love a good deal.
  8. Just a few more words of praise. Got the chance to see this bike back in '06 at TBME and it was very impressive to say the least. Whoever winds up with it is lucky for sure.
  9. Admittedly my pace has been off the last few seasons, but I got 8,500 miles from my 1st PR2 rear & just over 9k from the 2nd. Living in flat ass IL, the centers are shot well before the sides...
  10. I'm pretty happy with the way my Arrow full system sounds (Ti & CF). Hard not to be biased, but I really dig the MIGs too!
  11. Thanks guys! I'll start at 40/42 & see how they feel.
  12. After 11 yrs of running Michelins on my XX, I'm trying a BT016 front & BT023 rear this year. Where have the Bridgestone faithful been setting pressures & what kind of life are you seeing? FWIW, I used to vary pressure with Pilot Powers, Pilot Roads & Road2s to maximize life. I'd set 38-40 front & 40-42 rear for slabbing, commuting, or slower paced rides. For mountain riding or good twisties, it was 34-36 front & 36-38 out back. Playing that game I would usually get 3,500 - 4,500 miles per Pilot Power rear or 7k - 9k from Road or Road2 rears & almost 2 rears to each front.
  13. The weekend of WiXX I noticed mine getting hot quicker than usual with no leaks & normal coolant levels. After a quick peek at the radiator, I noticed I had picked up some of that cement like sludge from where they cut it wet in construction zones around here. That & a fair amount of bugs lodged in the fins. Also tested the coolant & noticed it's good to -50f. Power washed the radiator & added some water wetter. Much better now...
  14. Are you running stock bulbs? I've been running some Xenon 100w bulbs (55w stock) & they create just enough heat to slightly warp that plastic terminal cup between each bulb & it's harness connector. This has also caused things to corrode a bit more quickly. I have to clean them up every few years or so.
