  1. Talking to my step-dad now to see what he has saved up and if he's interested. Will let you know as soon as possible. Is it still for sale? Where exactly is it located?
  2. Just as an FYI this is a personal friend of mine. I can vouch for him so no worries on the item in question. Anyone here that knows me knows I don't mess around with folks money. It's in very decent shape with normal use marks.
  3. I was going to ask about the hugger and the windscreen myself...if you decide to go back to stock. I've been trying to find that hugger since Dave got it, with no luck.
  4. I used to get 200 a tank regularly on my '02 XX. That was running at about 80 to 85 mph (indicated). Spent the better part of a day running at about 100 indicated (heading out west) and those tanks were in the 160 to 170 mile range. Stock gearing.
  5. I think I may have one sitting around. Let me check to be sure when I get home from work. If so, it's yours for shipping costs. It's an '02 stocker if that means anything...
  6. From the last time I had to use it, an hour or two to tack up and you should be able to fire it up and check for leaks. 24 to 36 hours for full cure. I probably wouldn't ride on it for at least 24 hours.
  7. Nice. I was looking to replace the stock bulbs in the ZX-14 front and rear clear housings, and I didn't really like the dipped chrome bulbs I had on my XX, as they aren't that bright and harder to see in the day time. These will do nicely. Thanks!
  8. Wow. 29K on the chain. I'm usually happy to get about 20K out of my chains and I keep them as clean and oiled as I can without a pro oiler. If it's developed a hitch, I'd say get ready to replace it, sooner than later if you're going on any kind of long trip. You might be able to get away with riding on it locally, but if it's kinking it's going to give sooner or later. I might consider replacing the bearings on GP as well if you're doing any long riding. Not sure of all the "troubleshooting" steps to figuring out if they NEED it or not though. I know lany kind of hitch or hiccup during a free spin, or any minor lateral (side to side) movement of the wheel while mounted are two signs. Don't know what else.
  9. It's probably the inlet pipe / float valve. I had to replace mine when it started leaking. Fairly easy job, and the entire inlet pipe/float valve assembly was less than $20 at Homo Depot. You don't have a water valve on the lines for the toilet to shut water off to it? Might keep it from leaking until you get a chance to fix it.
  10. Nah, every RC51 I've seen has either been beat to hell or is overpriced, IMO. You have to want an RC51 to buy an RC51. Ahh I see. I figured you were going for another Honda LOL! Good luck with the sale and the SV1K.
  11. Heh...I see a very clean RC51 for sale, not far from you...hmmm :icon_think:
  12. My buddy still has the pipes in this thread, and probably motivated to make a good deal, if you're interested... http://www.cbr1100xx.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=53022
  13. Then keep it and have it painted red....it's what all the cool kids are doing these days!
  14. The US model comes with the solo seat cowl, but it attaches by way of 4 bolts to the underside of the seat. Underneath the cowl is the full banana seat. The Euro model doesn't come with the seat cowl, instead it comes with the rear grab handle, which requires slightly different rear plastic on the top. It also comes with ABS. If you want the rear grab bar over here, you have to order that different rear plastic piece (it's small) and the grab handle which comes with the bolts necessary to fit it on the rear end.
  15. WTF? BLARGH. Between friggin Dave selling his Silver BEFORE I needed one, and now you with this AFTER I already dropped money on a new one, I'm dying here. Sheesh. I would have picked this one up in a heart beat. He's got the flies pulled and a PC3 on it too doesn't he? Luckily I'm not THAT big a fan of the 2K7 metallic black or I'd really be in anguish here. That's a great price for a bike that is in awesome shape. Good luck with the sale. What's up? Something new on the horizon?
  16. For sale, one blue and white 2004 Suzuki GS500F. It was a starter bike for a female rider who really didn't ride it much. As such it has a few minor nicks from a drop or two, but it is in excellent shape with nothing broken or damaged. The right side fairing was replaced, but doesn't have the white/black sticker kit on it because the rider couldn't decide whether she liked it better with the stripes or without, so it was never purchased, so that side is solid blue. The pics show the overall condition of the bike pretty well. It has 6,430 miles on it, mostly highway miles from trips back and forth to Ohio. Recent oil/oil filter change, air filter change, still a good 3000 miles left on the tires, an easy 10K+ miles left on the chain. Because it was for a female rider, it has been lowered approximately 1 inch in the rear, with no change in handling. I have the original rear suspension links to raise it back to stock height if desired. NADA high value is $3200-$3400, NADA low value is $2200-$2400. I'm asking $2850 or best offer, splitting the difference down the middle on the high and low values. She'll need a carb cleaning/carb sync to really run perfectly, but she is ready to ride as is. Great learning bike, with a more upright riding position, not bent over like most sport bikes, though she looks sporty, and just enough power to get you around without being intimidating. Gets 60 mpg on the highway, low 50s city, netting an easy 300 highway miles out of the 5 gallon tank. Cell is 773-858-0528 if you have any questions, or would like to come take a look at the bike. Clean title on hand. No tire kickers, or test rides without full payment as deposit. No Nigerian scammers, and no shipping, local sale cash and carry only. Thanks!
  17. I know where there is a nice set of black-to-silver fade Microns available. I think he was asking $500 for them, but could probably be convinced to go lower...
  18. Ugh. You'll be sorry the first time you start cornering on the thing like you're used to and dragging shit everywhere. You'd definitely be better off finding the scratch to buy it and keep your 14, that way when you realize how much riding cruisers sucks, you'll still have your GT to ease the pain.
  19. I'd tell ya but I'd get banned for life!! :icon_silenced: Somebody buy my baby!!!! LOL 2K8 Hayabusa? C-14? C'mon spill the beans.
  20. They are having some issues moving to the new servers Dave, so I don't think they've activated any new members yet. They don't have the crack IT staff like we have here.
